I can load an music file fine and listen to it within the program, but when I try to load a much larger .wma file, all I get is 3 tenths of a second. I have tried MANY times and cannot get it to load. There is nothing wrong with the file (I can listen to it fine in Windows Media Player). Should I be loading it in some specific way? I saw a similar post from some time back but the thread just stopped without any good help being provided. This is the first file I have ever tried (Just downloaded the product).

Re: File Won't load properly
Audacity doesn't understand all sound file types. Windows Media Audio is a complete mystery to Audacity, and all Audacity will do is try really hard and then mess it up. The newer Audacity versions will pop up a window to tell you immediately that what you're doing isn't going to work.
You need to convert those sound files to WAV, MP3, OGG, or something else Audacity understands.
