Recording with USB microphone

Post by Tank_ » Thu Apr 14, 2011 1:14 am

Hello. I've tried recording with a USB microphone, but when I try to record multiple tracks, I can't hear the current tracks as the new one is recording. Any advice?

Do you mean that you can't hear the track that was recorded first, or that you can't hear what you are recording second?

I can't hear what I recorded first when I hit record to add another track above it. If I use the laptop's in-built recording hardware this isn't an issue.

"Edit menu > Preferences > Audio I/O"
Ensure that:
1) The output device is set to your normal sound card and not to the USB device.
2) "Play other tracks while recording new one" is enabled.
