hi

I bought a ittusb turntable a couple of years ago and got audacity with it. I had this problem then, but have just got it out again from storage and want to store my LP collection on CD. When I export the audacity file as WAV format the program just stops: I cannot even end the program using task manager; the only solution has been to shut the computer down!! I have once left the program with the box' exporting....' for nearly 3/4 hour before giving up.
Just to confuse the issue, yesterday it did!!!! export the first of 2 test tracks (in about 3 seconds) before hanging and I was able to open this first track and burn it to CD and even listen to it. I got really excited, but it has worked never before and never since.

Please help

Confused (anita) :(

Check how much free disk space you have. Windows should always have min. 10% free space. Note that audio editing uses a lot of disk space - if you are editing a whole album, it can create several Gigabytes of temporary files, and you still need to have enough space for your exported audio, plus 10% free space.

Also probably worth defragmenting your disk and running a full virus scan.
