Begining of recording is fine but then sqelches out

Well the situation is that when I record a track everything starts fine and then about 3 seconds in the wave falls flat and it sqelches during play back. I tried to figure it out on my own but failed. What can I do to correct this issue? Thanks.

Windows could be trying to enhance your sound.
