Hi, i've just downloaded audacity and i am wondering if it is possible to record both my input(sound from microphone) and my output(speakers) for things like skype calls(I have looked in the links section but the one about the VOIPs is broken). Any help would be smashing!

Recording Skype with Audacity rarely works at all, and at best does not work well.
Skype recording is a lot more successful using specialist software such as "Pamela" or "Total Recorder". These are non-free commercial programs, but unlike most of the "free" Skype recorders they are not riddled with adware or spyware.
