How do I not record the speaker output

Every time I record something, the recorded track I have on gets recorded too. How do I turn that off?

That's a sound card setting.
You have your sound card configured to record from "Stereo Mix" (may be called "Mix" or "What U Hear"). You need to configure the sound card to record directly from the input that you are using (for example, from the "mic" input).
