Hello,
I'm having problems playing certain sample rate frequencies with my new sound card, you see on my old sound card I never ran into these problems. I click the drop down menu next to the waveform - Set Rate - Other and plug in a number I want to listen to, but not all of the frequencies work. So I compiled a list of sample rate frequencies that show what numbers work and don't work. I tested both mp3(different bit rates too) and wave formats because I work with those two formats the most, and both formats and bit rates all stop working on the same numbers.
I used a MP3 with a bit rate of 160kbps and then compared it to the other bit rates and wave format.

I took all of the frequencies that did not work and plug them into mp3s with different bit rates and they all stop working on the same frequencies. Here is a comparison.

Re: Set Rate frequencies not playing
If you're using Audacity 1.2.6, it could be a bug in Audacity, but the 1.2 series is no longer being developed.
Do you get the same problem in Audacity 1.3? (you can download it here if you've not got it already http://audacityteam.org/download/ )
If you do still get the problem, what operating system are you using?

Re: Set Rate frequencies not playing
Yes, I'm using Audacity version 1.2.6
I downloaded Audacity 1.3 and tested all of the non working frequencies and now they all work. Thanks for help! Apparently on my old computer the version was probably 1.24 or 1.24b.
