Can't find latency correction

I'm a bit embarrased but I think I have aucacity 1.2. Running vista and using the computer's mic input.

I put a demo together of about 8 tracks. I've calculated my latency by comparing my drum loop/import with the first hit of my bass track, and I've done a search, but I can't find where to adjust the latency. When i go to preferences I don't see the latency adjust that I've seen in other's tutorials on the topic. any ideas?

Audacity 1.2 does not have latency adjustment. You need Audacity 1.3.12 (or 1.3.13 which is due for release next week).

damm that explains it. It was driving me nuts, thanks for the help!

only other quirk I'm dealing with is that it doesn't let me adjust mic input levels, the adjustment bar does nothing.

That may be fixed in Audacity 1.3.13 which is due to be released in the next week or so.
