I open a voice record file on audacity

hey so i opened a voice record file on audacity and when i click play nothing is coming except a loud noise "squeeky" noise nothing else. Is there something i'm doing wrong? When i uploaded a song it was working clear but only this voice record comes in with no sound.

Probably Audacity 1.2 does not support the format the file is in. Download Audacity 1.3 Beta, then the optional FFmpeg library, as explained in this
FAQ.
After instaling FFmpeg, Import the file by clicking File > Import > Audio then choose "FFmpeg-compatible files" in the "Files of type" dropdown. This will make sure the file is imported by FFmpeg.
