USB Connection

Post by jbowlin » Thu Mar 24, 2011 9:12 pm

I want to record using a USB connection to desktop. Sometimes Audacity shows the USB option under "Edit" Preference, but most time not.

It shows the USB option for input under "Preference" it will recorder properly. Coult this be a USB cable or the cassette player TAPE2USBII, or problems with the USB connections on the computer. I have 3 USB connections, none seem to work.

USB audio devices must be connected to the computer and recognised by the operating system before you start Audacity.

Thanks Steve I tried that but did not work. I checked the USB ports on the the computer. The troubleshooting indicated they were all working properly. I will try a new USB cable from my cassette player and see if that makes a difference. On the occasions that it did work the USB Codex was an option under "Preferences" If you have any other suggestions, would appreciate.
