ACER RECORDING

Post by DAVIDRD » Thu Mar 24, 2011 4:14 pm

I have succesfully recorded my KURZWEIL mk 110 digital piano using the origional AUDACITY with studio quality results on my DELL laptop.
The DELL died and I bought and ACER the AUDACITY recordings now have sci - fi / space echo replay.
I use an audio in to the mic jack, this worked before.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
David

Go into the sound card settings (either in the Windows Control Panel, or via an icon near the time/date in the lower right of the Desktop) and turn off all effects and enhancements.

I've also got an Acer laptop, and even with the "enhancements" turned off the recording quality is still rubbish, so I use a cheap Behringer UCA 202 instead. Almost any sound card upgrade (over $10) will be better than the on-board sound card.
