Hi, I use Windows Vista and I frequently find glitches in the final mp3 file. The record doesn't show any glitches, and I confirmed that by recording and listening the record at the same time to make sure that the record audio was fine. My USB turntable is a Numark TTUSB. Glitches sound like a needle jumping but needle and record are fine and nothing happens when listening the record.

I usually record with nothing running on the background, except processes that run automatically like Windows update and my anti-virus.

I also usually record charging the battery at the same time, but had the problem even when recording without doing this.

Can someone help me pls? It's annoying to have to record sometimes 3 times the same record to have a final mp3 file without glitches.

Just to be clear, you record a performance and it seems to be fine while it's being captured, but the MP3 export has holes or damage?

You're missing a step in the middle. When you complete the capture of the performance, play the work while it's still in Audacity. Press Control-F to display the full performance and Spacebar to start the playback. Does it have holes and damage on the timeline before you export?

The show is very likely to be damaged on the Audacity timeline. MP3 export can have a lot of problems, but occasional pips or holes isn't one of them.

Almost without question I'm going to send you off to download Audacity 1.3.12 and use that instead of Audacity 1.2. But first things first.
