I apologize if this is answered elsewhere in the forum, but all the crash recovery information that I can find seems to pertain only to crashes which occur while recording.
Audacity crashed while I was in the midst of editing my (finished) recording. I was very disheartened because I had not saved in a substantial period of time. I was wondering if Audacity 1.2.6 has any kind of auto-save that would allow me to recover changes made while editing (cutting out silence, tweaking volume, etc.)
Way to recover editing changes?

Re: Way to recover editing changes?
Crash recovery in Audacity 1.2.6 is very primitive and not very effective. I'd highly recommend that you upgrade to Audacity 1.3.12 which will hopefully be less prone to crashing, but if it does it has much better automatic crash recovery. You can get Audacity 1.3.12 from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/
