Recording in mono verse stero - audio quality issue
When I record in Mono VIA E-MU 0404 USB Interface the quality is subar. If I add effects I get a robotic sound. I tested recording in Stereo on the same interface and quality is great and effects produce no such sound, of course I only get one channel recording stereo. Why is this happeneing? I've tried disabling all other audio devices. I've reformatted my computer. Tried Win7 and WinXp and tried on my laptop to no avail. I had the same issue with the PreSonus Audiobox so I know it isn't the interface. I can't figure out the problem. If anyone has any answers or could point me in the right direction.. would greatly appreciate it.

Some effects are supposed to do that. What effects are you adding?DaBears1989 wrote: If I add effects I get a robotic sound.
Have you tried using Audacity 1.3.12 (highly recommended) http://audacityteam.org/download/
