LADSPA plug-ins ????

i tried to download the LADSPA plug-ins several times, and each time it tells me that..."set up files are corrupted obtain a new copy of the program"...so how do i go about getting the "new" program? i have XP on my computer.
as of now, i can only import "data" to Audacity, i can't do any effects, everything in the drop down menu is greyed out....i really could use some info....email me if anyone knows anything.... joshualenbrewer <at> yahoo <dot> com

Audacity must be in "Stop" mode (not "Play", "Record" or "Pause") to use effects. The same is true of most of the menu items.

I would highly recommend that you use Audacity 1.3.12. You can get it here: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows

To install LADSPA plug-ins, Right click on the link "set of over 90 LADSPA plug-ins" on this page http://audacityteam.org/download/plugins and select "Save As" (or whatever the equivalent in your web browser may happen to be). When the file "LADSPA_plugins-win-0.4.15.exe" has downloaded you need to run the file (double click on it) to install the plug-ins. Restart Audacity to complete the installation.
