Re: lots of fuzz
If the fuzz overtakes the voice, there isn't much hope. You need to be able to clearly understand the voice for any of the tools to work.
Is this a theatrical performance, or are you an attorney looking for incriminating evidence?

Re: lots of fuzz
its neither, its just a webinar i recorded from gotomeeting. it doesnt overtake the voice, but i would love to bring the voice to a crisper sound while reducing the fuzz

Re: lots of fuzz
Step One. Download and install Audacity 1.3.12.
http://audacityteam.org/download/
You can install both versions, but only use one at a time. Audacity 1.3 Projects will not open in 1.2.
Run Effects > Noise Reduction.
The tool works in two steps. You select a portion of the show that's trash and nothing else. That's the Profile. When you apply the tool to actually reduce noise, it tries to subtract the profile sound quality from the show. How it does it is up to the sliders and adjustments in the tool.

It's a violin. It has to be carefully tuned and played. It's not a one-button tool.
