Hello
I have previously been able to successfully record audio from Youtube using Audacity.
However some setting somewhere (in Audacity or my system) must have changed since then because now Audacity doesn't seem to record the sound correctly.
When I play back the sound, it immediatley sounds like there is some kind of strang flanger effect on it but after a few seconds the recording level diminishes even further with the same flange type effect.
Here is a sample of audio I captured from Youtube as an example: http://members.iinet.net.au/~lt.bull/sample.mp3
It should sound like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INhrOmE1MfM
Has anyone got an idea for what has gone wrong?
Cheers

Re: Problem recording using Audacity
Check your sound card settings to see what you are recording from.
See here for how to set the computer to record from Stereo Mix: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer ... trol_Panel
Ensure that the Microphone input is muted or disabled.
