Audacity Forum

I have a few computers that I have downloaded with audacity and on each one when i hit record I get a message "error while opeing sound device check imput and device settings and project sample rate". I found t he rate and it is set to 44100 not sure how to set device settings. All machines are windows vista.

What's the show? Exactly what are you trying to record and how? Guitar plugged into your sound card?
