WMP won't play Audacity WAV files
HELP! I recorded from a USB cassette player & everything sounds great. I exported to WAV. Audacity can open the WAV again & play it. When I tried to open the file the play in Windows Media Player, the file doesn't even show up. So I used Windows Explorer to view the file & the file doesn't show up that way either. Only Audacity can even see the file. I read the Manual and made sure all the settings are proper. I saved both as 16 bit & 32 bit. No matter what I do, Windows Explorer says the WAV file isn't there, yet it shows up & plays in Audacity just fine

Re: WMP won't play Audacity WAV files
Are you using funky filenames? You can drive a computer nuts by putting a slashmark "/" in a filename. Did you include dates? Bad idea.
Upper and lower case letters, numbers, underscore, and dash are the only unquestioned safe characters to use in a filename. Make a simple sound file with safe characters and see if it works.

I only used the actual Title of the song. However, I don't see how that would make a WAV not show up in Windows Explorer.
