I have a tevion usb turntable from aldi which came with your software v1.2.6. Installed software as instructions etc.

Problem is when i record anything off of the usb turntable i cannot turn the recording level down as it is blanked out when the recording device is set too the turntable ie USB Audio CODEC. Any advice how i can turn the recording level down as it sounds distorted at the level it is at present.

Unfortunately some manufacturers are still shipping their turntables with a very old version of Audacity. I would highly recommend that you upgrade to Audacity 1.3.12 http://audacityteam.org/download/

Regarding the recording level issue. Some USB turntables have a volume control hidden on the underside of the machine - have a look to see if yours does.
