exporting to mp3 (already have lame installed)

i exported the first song no problem and then tried again for a couple other songs and they have a little lock symbol next to them and aren't showing up when i try to open them.. any ideas as to why... i have version 1.2.6 running on windows 7

Are they copy protected files? Windows Media supports copy protection as does iTunes.

The recommended version of Audacity for Windows 7 is Audacity 1.3.12

i downloaded them and i didn't think they were copyrighted or anything... but ya i was just trying to make ringtones for my phone... it lets me cut them and edit the files its just after i export that it wont let me open them... and thanks i'll download that one

What format are you exporting them as?
Do the exported files play in Media Player?
Do the exported files play if you import them back into Audacity?
