I've updated all my drivers, using 64 for a 64 system, yet using Cakewalk UA-1G with Audacity crashes Win 7. Any Ideas?
Thanks

Really? Crashes Windows 7? The computer reboots?
If that's true, you have a bad memory stick (or other hardware component). You can test for this using the Microsoft Memory Diagnostic.

It's quite a production. You have to make a bootable floppy or CD and run the machine from it instead of your hard drive. Run the test multiple times -- although you may not need to. I doubt your machine will make it through the first pass.

To put an even finer point to it, it only crashes when I use the Cakewalk digitizing unit. Other digitizers work fine......

It could be a combination of problems. Not everybody needs to use High Memory -- the last of the memory sticks. If you hit something that does (Photoshop Gaussian Blur, etc) blammo, there goes the computer.
Do the Microsoft test.

I ran Win 7s built in memory test. Nothing, no problem... Now what?
