Crashing on Opening (Vista SP1)

Hello everyone,

I've been using Audacity as of late for an audio project I've been working on. However, I just recently tried to open an .aup file that I was working on, but it told me "audacity.exe has stopped working" and so forth. I then proceeded to just launching Audacity on its own, but with the same message. I then tried a dozen other times to open Audacity, but with no avail (I did try running it as an administrator). It was odd because I was just using the program the day before.

If you haven't done it yet, true rebooting your machine.

Apparently this is caused by latest Windows update. I finally solved it by updating to Audacity (beta) version 1.3
