Yes, I have set it so that it records in stereo, but how do I set it to record through the soundcard?

Thanks

Use the "line in" jack on your computer. Set it as the default in the sound app in the control panel. The line in jack takes stereo channels.

Sorry, my screenshot is from Vista. But I think there is something similar in the XP control panel, no?

EDIT: otherwise, use the "line in" jack on your sound card.

You select your sound card in "Edit > Preferences > Audio I/O"
This is also where you select whether to record 1 (mono) track or 2 (stereo) tracks.

The actual recording source (Microphone, Line-in, Stereo Mix, etc.) are selected using the Windows Mixer. (loudpeaker icon near the clock, bottom right of screen).
