Cannot drag MP3 files into Audacity

The titel explains it all. I have used audacity for mabye 1-2 years. And i realy like it. I got my computer back now. Completely stripped. Soo i had to download Audacity again.
I downloaded it and started up. I was importing a MP3 file, so i dragged it into audacity but nothing happend. Diddnt start to import and no error came up. It just comes up a sircel with a "stick" on cross in it. It was strange. I turned all settings to defualt and got the same problem. I can import By: Project -> Import Audio -> "Select File" -> "Push Ok" Then it come up. Its just takes a freaking long time to import like 20 -30 files when im mixing and all that stuff. So please be a angel and save me :) I realy dont know what to do. Im going to be embarrased if it is a noob fail >_> Please help me dont want to use more time then i need to import songs. I hope you understand me!
Please excuse me for my bad english ;)

And I GOT Lame_enc installed.

EDIT: And also i got Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit

Instead of importing, try opening a project file. It's much faster. Of course, you have to have saved it previously, which takes time.

EDIT: but to solve your problem I suspect you need to re-install Audacity again.

i have re-installed thousend times. With the newest, the same and lots of others "old" versions. The same problem on all version!

Are you going through a mapped drive?

Try it without using Maps.

I dont know what you mean. lol The map is in my :/C disc?

How do i do it without maps? :P

this is for example a song i tried C:UsersEierDocumentsMin MappeMusikkHardstyle
And in the "Hardstyle" map its song that i try to put in, still not working.

OK, dragging from there shouldn't be the problem. What's the name of the application you're dragging the mp3 file from? Windows explorer?
