Creates new track every 12 seconds

Any idea why a song recorded will create a new track every 11 or 12 seconds? I realize that a new file is created in the temp diretory every 11 or 12 seconds during a recording, but Audacity usually displays this as one track.

When you start experiencing Audacity Insanity is usually the time we chase you over to Audacity 1.3.12. See if you can uninstall Audacity 1.2 (remember what your custom setting were, if any) and then go up and get the 1.3.12 installer from here...

If you need MP3 and other compressed formats, get lame and FFMpeg software from the same place.

Audacity 1.3 will open Audacity 1.2 Projects. Restart Audacity after you change preferences.
