Hello Audacity,
I am a beginner DJ using 1 Numark NDX400 and a Numark M3 Mixer, I was wondering if there was a way for me to hook it up to my computer and then Audacity to mess around.
Also is this the correct software I am looking for? Is this software for like a music producer? Please help! Thankyou

Re: Music Producing Software?
You can use Audacity to record, edit and process (EQ, effects, etc).
To record from your mixer you will need a sound card that has a stereo "line level" input. Laptop computers often only have microphone inputs which are not suitable, and the "standard" on-board sound cards in most PCs (laptops and desktops) are generally pretty poor quality, but USB sound cards with line level inputs are available relatively cheaply. You don't need anything fancy, but you do need line level in and out (and preferably a headphone socket).
I'd definitely recommend using Audacity 1.3.12 rather than the (now rather ancient) Audacity 1.2.6 version.
