Overdubbing troubles

Post by almati » Fri Jan 21, 2011 11:26 pm

So I've been working on Stand By Me, and I'm equiped with one guitar. So, obviously, I'll need to overdub some parts on it. However, when I record I can't listen to what I've already recorded. I could do that on my old school laptop though. BTW, I have Windows 7 and am using a USB mic from rockband.

I know, my question was rather unclear, How do I listen to a previously recorded track while recording a new one?

In Audacity 1.3.12, there is a setting called "Play tracks while recording new ones." You should be in Audacity 1.3.12 for any sort of serious work.

Get the MP3 lame software and the FFMpeg software from the same place.
