Playback dropouts
I created a project on my desktop. When I play the project back on my laptop, the audio mutes for several seconds on one track but the second plays. If I export to a wav file, the skips are included. The timeline shows audio but there is no output. I am running the latest stable version on both computers. I don't have any audio issues on the laptop when playing audio files outside of Audacity.
