Question on Silence Finder

Post by sjw » Sun Jan 09, 2011 10:55 pm

After using silence finder, the plug in runs but it seems like nothing is happening. I am new to the program so could just be me. Should I be seeing a bunch of new tracks after it separates them or where do I see the separated tracks?

I get the box shown in your link, it does the analysis then I don't see anything different on the display. What should I be seeing after it does the analysis? Thx

If silences are detected then a label track will be created http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Label_Tracks
If silences are not being detected, try decreasing the "Silence Level".
Silences must be longer than the amount specified by the "Minimum silence duration" setting, so you may also need to decrease that.
