hello, i'm a budding dj and i'm using audacity to record my mixes live as i play them, when i have finished the mix is one big track, is there a way of putting in track markers so that when i burn the mix to cd and play it back i don't have to scan fwd on the one track and skip to each individual track??????? help?????
(so instead of it being one big track its 12 tracks)
how do i put track numbers on my cd's?

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Put a marker at the front of each segment you want as an individual clip. Project > Add Marker, although there is a keyboard shortcut. Control-B ?? The last marker will point to the whole rest of the timeline, so be careful.
After you complete marking up your timeline, File > Export Multiple and pick your output format. Poof. Multiple clips sequentially numbered. Dump in the burning program of your choice.
By the way, I would strongly recommend Exporting the whole timeline as one WAV as a safety backup. Audacity Projects are brittle and prone to failure taking hours of work into the toilet. Save produces a Project, not a Sound File.
