Hi there and greetings from Brisbane in Australia. I have been running music through 1.2.6 in order to
edit ie removing digital clicks and pre and post track blank space. However,the completed tracks have
serious bass distortion. Any advice would be most welcome.

Are you "Recording" this music, or "Importing" it?
If you are recording it, then you probably have the recording level too high.
To change the recording level, open the "Windows Mixer" (loudspeaker icon near the clock in the bottom right of your screen), find the "Recording" settings page, and turn down the level for the recording input that you are using.
