Play audio in comp at same time record in Audacity

Play audio file or radio on the computor and at the same time record the sound in
audacity..... thats the holy grail.... is it possible ?

At present I play a music or talk file on my computor, record it on a cassette tape , then I have
to get it from the cassette tape into audacity....

At present Im having big problems getting sound from my cassette into audacity.

Maybe one day I can cut out the middle man....( ie the cassette music centre !)

You can always do this on almost all computers, but it may take work and sometimes bux to do it.

I don't remember if it says this in the wiki or not, but the process of recording computer sound frequently messes up straight recording -- like you're trying to do with your cassette machine. So you need to remember what you did to undo it later.

There are a lot of posts from people who like to record YouTube and then complain that they can't record their guitar solo.
