First of all, I really love this program. Really simple and effective.
However, I just have a couple of questions:
1) What settings do I need to achieve an intimate and polished sound like, say, this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=LYMDXK9ZpxQ
2) When I record a vocal track that lasts longer than about 10 seconds, the vocal speeds up just a bit, rendering it off-tempo. Is this the program or the computer?
3) When I try changing the pitch, there is either a loud clicking sound on the note, OR the note speeds up (throwing the rest of the track off) OR a combination of the two. Is there another pitch correction system that could be effectively plugged-in to Audacity?
Thanks a lot!
A couple questions.

Re: A couple questions.
It's not just settings. You need good quality equipment (microphones, amplifier, monitor speakers, instruments, a good recording and mixing room.....) and several years of study and experience. Practice, do lots of reading, and you will get better at it. It's like learning to play an instrument well.robertrosado wrote:What settings do I need to achieve an intimate and polished sound
It could be the sound card. If you are using an on-board sound card, it will be worth investing in a reasonable quality PCI sound card (full size PC, not laptop).robertrosado wrote:When I record a vocal track that lasts longer than about 10 seconds, the vocal speeds up just a bit, rendering it off-tempo.
