Im a guitar player and i need help!

I play the guitar and i often have to record music through audacity. There seems to be a problem when I try to record multiple tracks one after the other because when i press the record button audacity records not only what i am playing at the moment, but also re-records the tracks i have previously recorded, which leads to bad sound quality because of the multiple instruments in a track =( Is there any way i can record a track without involve instruments i have previously recorded but still hear them? please reply

Go to Edit>Preferences and unchek the box that says "Play other tracks while recording new one"

Unfortunately, if he does that then he will not be able to hear the other tracks either (which he does want to be able to do).
The solution is to go into the "Windows Mixer" (see the icon in the bottom right of the screen near the clock) and find the record input settings, then disable "Stereo Mix", and select either "Mic in" or "Line in" (depending on which you are using) as the recording source.
It is the exact opposite problem of this:
