I upgraded to 1.3.12 after I discovered that I could not record twice on the same track in the old version.

What I think I'll do, as you suggested, I'll keep a dry version of every track muted, and then delete and replace the wet version if I have to. That should work.

You know, I'm using 1.3, and I've just discovered that when I apply, say, compressor, to a track and then copy it and paste it into a new track, it emerges without any compression, in its 'dry' form. Or am I missing something?

I think you'll find that it doesn't.
