No audio ANYWHERE after using Audacity...

I loaded an mp3 into Audacity, and was trying to find a certain pulse in the music that was a guitar note, couldn't find where it was so I used the amplify effect, set it to 10.0, checked "Allow Clipping" and clicked ok. I found the pulse, did not even play back the audio, and eventually closed audacity without saving changes. Ever since, I have not gotten audio from any program coming out of my speakers, and I'm sure all the connections are good. I recorded a video with Gamebridge and put it on youtube, and showed it to my friends and they can hear the audio on it, but I can't and couldn't when I was recording it.

The only think sounds possible to me:
You could shifted the playback volume settings slider on the Toolbars to the left.
In 1.3.5 beta version of Audacity, this is linked to the Wave level setting in Windowzes "Volume Control".
Open Audacity and shift it right (it is next to speaker icon)
or right-click speaker in right lower corner of your Windowzes, open Volume Control and move both
"Volume control" and "Wave" sliders up.

In my 1.2.6 however, this Audacity's slider seems not to be connected to Windowzes settings and should not do anythink to others' programs outputs.

Do I give anough detail so that you can understand?

rexisfed,
I had something similar albeit with another program where I couldn't get any sound (in my case Media Player was an exception). Check my post under "no sound" about midway through the post. It may not apply in your case but it doesn't hurt to mention it. If it's not that let us know.

I would be remiss if I didn't add these links to other helpful Audacity pages:
