Whenever I use my microphone, it is mostly for singing. But usually when it comes to those very high notes on Audacity, I don't find it to be clear. When I playback the file, there is always a odd noise which comes along with the voice. I don't know if any of you will get what I am talking about, but if you do, could you please help me.
Thank You

Re: Help with Audacity
Could the high note be clipping to produce distortion from high volume? (the waveform is going higher than 1.0 on the track)
If that's the case, try lowering your mic volume, backing away from the mic, or both.
ummm, otherwise it might be your mic/room, maybe?
I haven't yet encountered this problem, so it's all guesswork.

Re: Help with Audacity
As SigmaRemix has said, I think that clipping is the most likely cause, but it could also be a limitation of your microphone and/or sound card if they are not very good quality.
