No mention of "Stereo Mix" in there.
Where are you seeing the "stereo mix" option?uhslez wrote:I tried to change the recording device in both, control panel and audacity preferences, but it still wouldnt record - the stereo mix option comes available tho.

Thanks, that screenshot shows exactly the right thing
The "Recording" device (in Preferences) is set to "RealTek" which is the computer's internal sound card.
"Stereo Mix" in the "Device Toolbar" shows the specific input that is selected for the "Device" that is selected in Preferences. In this case you have selected the "Stereo Mix" input of the "ReakTek" sound card. This will record everything that is playing through the RealTek sound card.
If you change the Recording Device in Preferences to USB then the recording device will be the E-MU 0202, but I expect that "Stereo Mix" will no longer be available in the Device Toolbar because XP does not (usually/ever?) support Stereo Mix for USB devices.
The ideal solution would be to make a little switch box so that you can switch between "loopback" and ordinary input to the 0202. If you know anyone that makes electronic projects I can post a wiring diagram for you (it's quite a simple project for anyone that can use a soldering iron).
