Recording issue.

This one's a real puzzler so I'm hoping someone can help me on this one. I have used Audacity for a few years now and have recorded one full album already, but at the moment I am unable to record anything at all. I'm using version 1.2.6 and a Behringer Xenyx 1204 mixer with a USB/audio UCA200 interface (basically a usb connection for mixer to computer).
Here's a list of the things I've already checked:-

My mixer is fine (just bought a new one as my last one blew up), as are my USB interface, audio cables, mic and lead.

Have been through all my mixer settings etc.

All Audacity settings (including formats and recordings)

Interference from Antivirus, Firewall, and other security settings.

Have reinstalled my version of Audacity

Have looked at my computers sound hardware and performed diagnostic checks.

Sound software settings and diagnostics.

My computers USB connection (works with my dig cam and is fine on diagnostic.)

I am even unable to record a copy of a previously recorded track, there is simply no output at all.
Any ideas would be great as I'm stumped, and working as an artist I really need to use the programme as soon as I can.
Hope someone's got an answer. Cheers, C.

Check to see what is selected as the "Recording" and "Playback" devices in "Edit > Preferences > Audio I/O". Do these correspond to the audio devices that you are using?

Hi, have been through the recording and playback settings. The options I've got available to me are Microsoft sound mapper (output) and Realtek HD audio (output) for playback, and both of these work fine for that.
For recording I have MSM (input), Realtek HD Digital input, and Realtek HD audio input. None of these options work but will have done at some point in the past.
The manual says not to use MSM (input), and I would guess that the digital option would sound logical.
However my mixer to computer interface is a audio to usb connection so is a plug and play device and as long as you set it up before starting the programme it should work.
But no, there is no specific reference to either my mixer or the device I'm using.
Cheers, C.

This site may have some useful info for you: http://www.free-instrumentals.com/behringeruca200.html
It's an external site - but McAfee Site Advisor gives it a clean bill of health.

Basically your sound input should be targetted on the USB device (you are plugging it in before firing up Audacity, aren't you?) - and the sound output targetted on your PCs onboard soundcard (unless that is you are using the output services of your UC200 to feed speakers somehow).
