USB Cassette taping

Post by sorefeets » Sat Dec 04, 2010 9:08 pm

Installation of software went quite well. I am using a Grace Digital Audio USB tape deck to digitize my old cassettes. Everything seems to work just fine EXCEPT i am not getting any fluctuation waves in Audacity and consequently nothing is being recorded. Level meters indicate that there is input but nothing is being captured. Do i have to wait until all recording is done before the waves appear? Or should they be appearing as I record. Hope you can help.

You should see the waveform appear during the recording and you should see the recording meter bouncing.

Look also at the section about USB turntables because the USB information is the same for USB turntables as it is for USB cassette players.
