ok, I have an M-Audio Keystation e49 midi controller and I have not been able to get it to work with the software that came with it nor could I get it to work with madtracker, but I was told that Audacity did support VST plugins and he was right, though what he didn't tell me is that I needed to download the enabler for it, well i installed it but I do not know how to install the plugins, if anyone can help me with this I will be eternally happy with whoever gives me the answer.
sorry for the previous delete, I thought I was in the wrong forum but was not.

Re: need help with VST enabler
All the info is on this page: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... T_Plug-ins
Please note that even with the VST Enabler, not all VST's will work. Audacity does not support real-time effects, or VSTi. Also it does not support the graphical interfaces of VST's, it replaces them with a very basic interface that can often be difficult to work out. Also some VST effects will crash Audacity. For many users, the wide range of free LADSPA and Nyquist plug-ins are a better option.
