Codec Help

I am having trouble with a specific proprietary file format for a large group of files. These audio files (.wav) came on a disk along with one INF and three ACM files.
I have installed the codecs but am only able to play the files using the media player application which also came on the disk, which did not work until the codecs were installed.
The problem is that I need to have these files in a common editable wav or mp3 format but the player provided won't allow me to export/save as.

My question is, does anyone know how I can get an audio editor, like audacity, to recognize and use a specific codec or group of codecs to open a file?

Now that you have the ACM files installed you may be able to convert the files to normal WAV format using the free media format converter "SUPER" by erightsoft.
I'm guessing that the files that you have are either GSM 6.10 or G.711. SUPER may also be able to tell you what the actual format is.
