Hello -
I have not had this problem in the past. This just started happening recently for no good reason. I'll elaborate
I am using a Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows Vista. I am using an audio-technica at-pl120 turntable and a Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit external sound card to copy vinyl using Audacity 1.2.6. When I first started using the above, even when I jacked up the inputs all the way in Audacity and on the mixer, it would be somewhat quiet recording (typically maxing out around 0.2 on the meter on the left). But today when I went to rip some vinyl, I am not getting any sound whatsoever. I'm not sure if this a sound card issue or what, but given that not so long ago I didn't have any issues with it, I'm guessing I have a setting wrong or something. I'm just not sure what the deal is.
Any help will be MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Sorry I'm not a Vista user
(I'm resloutely sticking with XP at the moment) - but this page from the Wiki may help you:
http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... s_Vista_OS
Also I'd consider using the newly relased late Beta version 1.3.5
(You can keep both 1.2 and 1.3 on your PC at the same time - but can't use both simultaneously - and while 1.2 projects open and work in 1.3 you can't open 1.3 projects in 1.2).
