Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Importation error?

Post by Kitty.x » Wed Nov 03, 2010 8:58 pm

I have imported an mp3 track into audacity and oddly enough when I play it, it sounds like communication with an alien or something! At first, I thought Audacity had sped it up, turns out this isnt the case, it's genuinely importing utter distorted rubbish... what do I do? I've tried dragging and dropping and importing via the protect drop down menu, help!

~Thanks

You are trying to import a file type that is not supported.
If you upgrade to Audacity 1.3.12 and install FFMpeg many more file types are supported.
