Recording won't Work

I just downloaded version 1.13 beta twice. When I click on record some precorded message or something is already recorded there. How do i get rid of this precorded message. I do not have anything else running at the time.

Maybe 1.3 Beta? I don't think there is a 1.13. If you save the DMG or ZIP file, you don't have to do it multiple times. It's really rare for a download to fail.
You don't happen to remember what the message was (for those of us who don't run 1.3)...?
Edit > Select > All > [Delete]

There is no pre-recorded message with official releases of Audacity.
Current versions are 1.2.6 and 1.3.5
