I have a wave file and have added a label track.
The file initial file is 586,215 KB and shows as 44,100 Hz, 32-Bit Float in Audacity.
I use File > Export Multiple, and it creates 8 tracks, each a WAV file.
But these files are empty. They have file sizes from 45,000 to 159,000 KB, but they are just silence.
I did get it to work ONCE, on a difference original WAV file. But now it won't work on any file.
The exported files don't play in WinAmp, Microsoft Media, or even if I load them back into Audacity.
BUT, strangely, sometimes they have 2 or 3 seconds of sound at the beginning or end of the file.
I was thinking some setting of audio in my computer was messed up or redirected or something, but then why would there sometimes be some sound in the file.
Thanks,
Gary

Re: Only silence when using Export Multiple ??
PS: Based on reading other posts, I've simplified my track label names to "01", "02", etc. No help.

Re: Only silence when using Export Multiple ??
Problem Solved -- I should have spent more time reading here first.
The problem is I had MOVED the project to a new directory.
Using Windows File Explorer, I had moved the audacity .AUP file, its "Project Data" subdirectory, and the original WAV file.
It would seem that should work. But reading here I found a suggestion that Audacity doesn't like being moved.
I deleted my project (keeping the master WAV file) and started a new Audacity project.
I readded the labels & then used File > Export Multiple. It worked fine.
Hope my post can help someone else.

Re: Only silence when using Export Multiple ??
Normal flesh and blood humans can't move Audacity Projects.
The project folder structure is burned into the programming of the AUP file (which you can open up in any text editor). If you move anything and don't change the AUP file to reflect the change, you're dead.
