I was just wondering if there was any correlation between Audacity's dB reading in the "plot spectrum" window and the real world Sound Pressure Level dB unit. Which is to say, is there any way I can compare my spectrum data (the frequencies and their corresponding levels) to a meaningful pressure level?
Is the only way to find this out to purchase a sound-level meter?
Thanks in advance for your response.
