I've opened an MP3, 'trim'ed it and then used 'Export as WAV'.
In Audacity the clip is 5 seconds long but when I play the resulting WAV it's about double that with a load of silence added to the end.
Any ideas why?
Thanks
Simon

Re: 'silence' added to end of WAV
You may have selected more (a longer region) than the length of the actual audio.
Generally, If you want to export a mixdown of the entire song, pressing 'Ctrl A' will "Select All", and then you are ready to Export. If you want to export just one track, click on the information box at the left of the track to select it, then use "Export Selection". To export just part of one or more tracks, click and drag the mouse across the area that you wish to export, then choose "Export Selection".
