I was just wondering if there are nay legal implications of recording a Skype conversation?? I think that this would be illegal, at least in the UK. Does anyone know more about this issue?

I'm no lawyer - but muy understandinf is that it is ok in the UK provided you inform the other party in advance that the call is being recorded.

Consider the use case of calling a call centre (bank, utility co. etc.) - often the initial pre-recorded messsage will warn you that "calls may be recorded for quality and training".

There are many commercial programs for recording Skype.

If you want a commercial product for recording Skype, please use Google - there are dozens.

Due to the massive number of spam posts regarding Skype recording software, please DO NOT post links to any commercial Skype recording applications as such posts are very likely to be flagged as spam, resulting in the post being deleted and the user account deleted.
